Screening Questions

Have you, someone in your household, or someone present during support services in the past 14 days:

  1. Had a fever, cough, shortness of breath or flu-like symptoms?

  2. Tested positive for COVID-19?

  3. Had close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case?

  4. Returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days?

  5. Visited any case locations listed by state and territory health departments?

If you answered yes to question 1

A support worker should not provide services if you answered yes to this question. Follow the associated self-isolation and quarantine guidance for your state and do not resume service delivery / receipt of services until you have obtained a letter of clearance from your state’s public health team.

If you are receiving support services and answered yes to this question, you should inform any affected support workers and discuss with them if they are happy to continue service provision following your positive test for Covid-19.

If you answered yes to question 2

Follow the associated self-isolation and quarantine guidance for your state and do not resume service delivery / receipt of services until a negative PCR test is returned.

If you answered yes to questions 3 or 4

Consult the current Covid-19 self-isolation and quarantine guidance for your state. In some cases, vaccinated individuals will be able to end their isolation period early upon the return of a negative PCR test. Refer to the State and Territory guidance here.

Call the national coronavirus and COVID-19 vaccine helpline on 1800 020 080 if your answer to question 3 is about another person in your household.

If you answered yes to question 5

Get tested for Covid-19 as soon as possible. You will be able to resume delivering or receiving services upon return of a negative test, but should continue to monitor for symptoms.
